Pro zone bivvies are made of 7001 T6 aluminium frames, which is used in expedition tents. The stability of this material, known as „featherlite“ is comparable to the wrongly citated 7075 dural aluminium. (Tensile Strength 7075 Rm = 520 N/mm2, 7001 Rm = 460 N/mm2, 6061 Rm = 260 N/mm2).

Prozone frames have a diameter of 11mm, weighting 15% less compared to the typical bivvy made using 6061 frames.

The single frames of the Pro Zone bivvies consist of only three instead of the usual four segments. Thanks to fewer parts and spezial material the frames can be set up much faster! Due to the great advantage in quality and higher price AW10000 and 7001 are used in the Pro-Zone bivvies only.

EHMANNS fishing bivvies are delivered with a thick removable groundsheet, because quality was at the centre of our focus in development – not the price. All bivvies include two large mosquito nets with AW10000 covers at the back side. In contrast to double skin bivvys with the mosquito net on the top side you will not have to cope with rain inside your Bivvy during erection. The large mosquito panels in the entrance ensure optimal ventilation, thus avoiding aggregation of condensate. We decided to work with a 4 rib frame systems in all of our Hot Spot and Pro-Zone bivvies, because the fourth frame avoids intrusion of rain and heavy illumination from the front within the hot summer months. Furthermore, an overwrap used on a four rib bivvy will gain way more extra room than on a three rib one! The front includes a both way opening multifunctional door with clear window, mosquito net and AW10000 cover. The multifunctional side windows are equiped with a mosquito net, clear window and AW10000 cover, too. On demand each side - or even all three at the same time – can be rolled up individually. No matter the weather - your view of the water will be great.

The exterior walls have peg clips at different heights to cope with ground irregularities and extra tension pole clips, too. Furthermore delivery includes a frame support, a set of sturdy hammerproof pegs, a lantern hook, 2 rod retainers with hook-and-loop fasteners and a strong cordura carrying bag, large enough for your bivvy and overwrap.

The dimensions in width and height depend on assembly. For example it can be made much higher, which will result in a loss of width. Our specifications refer to the pictured bivvy with normally drawn-in tension strap.
